WELCOME TO CONTERRA BROADBAND SERVICES

Conterra is a facilities-based, FCC common carrier that provides high quality, high capacity backhaul and wide area network services for mobile carriers, school districts and select enterprises throughout the country.  We primarily utilize licensed microwave frequencies to augment and extend seamlessly existing fiber backbones and rings in locations where the economics of deploying fixed-wire media for last-mile broadband connections are unfavorable.

Conterra’s turnkey Ethernet and SONET transport services offer scalable bandwidth availability, from 1.5 Mbs to 1 Gbs, to support mission critical transmission of data, video and voice through leased T-1, T-3 OC-3 and Ethernet circuits.  We offer carrier-class Service Level Agreements covering every circuit we deploy whether microwave or fiber based. The largest end users of our transport services include Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Alltel, Verizon Business and DukeNet Communications as well as dozens of K-12 school districts.

Conterra was founded and is managed by cellular, CLEC and IT industry veterans with hundreds of years of combined experience in designing, building and operating wireless and wire-line commercial telecommunications networks.  We are financed by world-class investors including subsidiaries of Duke Energy Corporation and GE Capital.  Conterra has the knowlege, experience and financial strength to help support your organization reliably and cost-effectively through the evolution to the ultra high-capacity, high-speed transport platforms of a future that is right around the corner!
