Conterra®’s broadband networks utilize our own fiber, customized FCC-licensed microwave and aggregated fiber from smaller providers to reach rural and outer suburban sites with high-capacity Ethernet and TDM services. Conterra®’s broadband networks for schools and government entities use an Internet Protocol-based Ethernet architecture (TCP/IP) to support data, voice and video simultaneously in a converged environment and meet Layer 2 or Layer 3 Quality of Service (QoS) standards. Using fiber optic and microwave technology with FCC-licensed radio spectrum enables Conterra® to deliver secure, interference free, low latency alternative access services at competitive price points.
